56K V90 MODEM WITH HSP CHIPSET

Daimond 56k modem

The good: Great software bundle, solid telephony features.
The bad: Disappointing performance, slightly bloated price.

The bottom line: Unless speakerphone capabilities are important to you,
there are better deals elsewhere. While Diamond's external SupraExpress performed superbly,
the internal left some room for improvement. But if you need speakerphone capabilities
and can't spare a COM port, the $120 SupraExpress 56i Sp might be just what the doctor
ordered. We certainly can't knock it for resiliency. No matter how adverse the condition
of the phone line, the 56i always maintained connections and transferred data with ease
though not quite as quickly as some of the other internals.
